Clare boss Brian Lohan said he was “really satisfied” with his side’s victory over Dublin in this afternoon’s Allianz HL Division 1B final.

The Banner men clinched the league silverware on a 2-26 to 3-20 scoreline at the TUS Gaelic Grounds where they were made to hold off their opponents’ second-half surge after having led by 10 points at half-time.

Speaking to GAA.ie afterwards, Lohan said he was delighted with the way the league worked out for his team with more than 35 players in his squad getting game time ahead of the championship campaign.

"It was a quick, tough game, a game of two halves with the strength of the breeze," Lohan stated.

"We're happy to come out on the right side of it."

He added: "We're really satisfied, happy with how the league worked out and we're approaching the championship in the way we wanted to be.

"Maybe 36 or 37 players have played in the league for us. It is unusual that you'd be able to get so many guys game time in the league. So, we're delighted with that."
