Armagh goalkeeper Ethan Rafferty is an All-Ireland champion for the third time in 12 months after winning the All-Ireland men’s senior road bowls title in West Cork last Sunday.

The Grange clubman made history at Castletownkenneigh when becoming the first bowler to win All-Ireland intermediate and senior titles in successive years. He also garnered an All-Ireland SFC medal with the Orchard County last year as sub-goalkeeper to Blaine Hughes, who he lost his place to after breaking his leg in a club match.

Rafferty re-established himself as Armagh’s No. 1 this season. He also completed a four-in-a-row of Ulster road bowls successes a few weeks ago.

Armagh camogie captain Gemma McCann made it a double for the Orchard County when she pipped Cork ladies football legend Juliet Murphy for the All-Ireland intermediate women's title.
