Weekend of the 25th of May Meath play Louth Away Weekend of the 1st of June Meath playing at Home to Kerry(or Clare) Weekend of the 15th of June Meath play Monaghan at a Neutral venue Where is the Away game against Louth Likely to be? They wouldnt play that in Ardee would they? Monaghan Neutral venue likely to be Breffni? Looking at the other groups i think we have been lucky Travel distances etc. it works out quite well and to boot we have the chance of Clare in the unlikely case of a freak result against Kerry. So Meath will have 2 matches at neutral venues as Louth cant play at home! Cant complain with that draw at all! Kerry might complain though that they wont really be tested before the quarters :) Will be nice to have Kerry at home too. Should be a great day in Parc Tailteann. We might be a bit of a banana skin for Kerry too playing us at home in what should be a full house with probably 95% Meath support! It has for sure risen my interest in the group stages and Id say the lads will be buzzing in training now for the next 3 weeks knowing they have a chance of getting out of the group! Seeing as Ger Brennan is a respected Dub with plenty of contacts in the world of GAA up there (in the county that pretty much gets what it wants!) would there be a chance there will be a double header in Croke Park as I see that the Leinster Champions also have home advantage that weekend. Yeah I'd say Breffni Park is a certainty for the neutral game, the away game to Louth could end up moving to Navan or maybe even Parnell Park - Louth might not want to play us in Navan. Hopefully not another soulless double header in Croke Park though! In the words of Del Boy, well we've had worse days comes to mind. That said there will be nothing easy against Louth, Monaghan a step up opposition and Kerry who are not setting the world on fire at present but never really do till they hit croke park. We will have a very good idea where we are at after group games, good chance of progressing but to be honest we are only third favourites in the group, think we are better than Louth. Really looking forward to it, an all Ireland quarter final would be a great step forward in my opinion. Nothing to fear in any of the games, probably will be playing Kerry in senior and 20s championship. In 2019 when we played we were gone already but we'll have so much to play for so hoping PT will be rocking for that. I know we had a couple of Leinster quarters against them there but Louth nor meath weren't going great at time and losers went into all ireland back door either way. Now Louth are going much better and it probably means a bit more as a contest now so I'd have thought each county might bring 7 or 8k each. Which goes well above parnell parks capacity.
