The drive towards a fully integrated GAA, Camogie Association and Ladies Gaelic Football Association has gathered further momentum following the first meeting of the Steering Group on Integration under new chairperson John Horan.
The meeting took place in Croke Park on Wednesday, with the former GAA president outlining the next steps in the process alongside the Ard-Stiúrthóirí of the three associations.
A programme of work, including a clear vision and key implementation milestones, is to be presented to the respective Management Committees, Central Councils and Congress meetings in the early months of 2027.
The group also agreed in principle to establish a new full-time position to support clubs adopting the One Club model, as well as providing assistance to integration workgroups at county and provincial level.
Speaking following the meeting, Horan said: "There remains a strong and shared commitment across all three associations to continue progressing towards One Association.
"Significant work has already been completed and there is a clear recognition of the opportunities that greater integration presents for our members, clubs and communities.
"My priority as Chairperson is to ensure that momentum is maintained, that stakeholders are engaged in a meaningful way, and that there is clarity around the next steps as we continue this important journey together."
