Former Cavan star Seanie Johnston has joined the coaching set-up of Down football kingpins Kilcoo.
Having won 13 of the last 14 senior championship titles in the Mourne County, the Magpies will bid for their club’s 24th Frank O’Hare Cup success this year with Monaghan man Martin Corey at the helm for a second season.
Corey, who won six SFC titles with Clontibret as a player, was joined in his management team by Tyrone All-Ireland winner Joe McMahon in 2025 as Kilcoo retained their county title before losing out to Scotstown in the Ulster club SFC final (AET in December).
McMahon has since linked up with his brother Justin to take charge of their home club Omagh St Enda’s for the season ahead, with Johnston now coming in to fill the void.
The Cavan Gaels clubman previously worked with Corey in the Cavan senior set-up in 2022 under manager Mickey Graham and has previously managed the Gaels and Cuchulainns.
