The curtain comes down on the Meath Hurling Championship this weekend with four finals at Pairc Tailteann.

First up is the meeting of Kildalkey and Wolfe Tones in the Intermediate B final. Both teams struggled in their groups gathering one win each but their form improved in the B championship. 2023 IHC winners Kildalkey accounted for Trim and Kilmessan to reach the final. Wolfe Tones recorded a 1-15 to 0-15 win over St. Pats in the quarter final and with Eoghan Harrington scoring 1-12 they defeated Boardsmill 2-15 to 2-10 in a last four match at Dunganny.

Like last Saturday’s football final the Intermediate Hurling decider promises to be a very entertaining affair. Both teams went through their group stages unbeaten. Rathmolyon’s display in the semi final win over Donaghmore Ashbourne might be a small concern for manager Brian Gilsenan. The North Meath combination needed three goals to see off one of the favourites Dunboyne in their last four clash at Trim. These two met in last years championship and the Village staged a late comeback to take both points on a 3-17 to 4-13 scoreline.

Longwood will look to retain the Senior B championship title when they take on Killyon in the first of two games on Sunday. The holders struggled in Group A that included Ratoath and Kiltale but found form to beat Blackhall Gaels and Dunderry to reach the decider. Killyon got their year off to a great start with a win over Kildalkey in the Brendan Davis Cup final. They recorded wins in Group B over O’Mahony’s and Dunderry but that wasn’t enough to advance in the race for the Jubilee Cup. Another win over O’Mahony’s in the B semi final set up a final date with Longwood.

The two form teams will contest the Jubilee Cup final. Ratoath have been in untouchable form racing through Group A with maximum points. The holders scored 16-114 on their way to the semi final where they defeated Kilmessan 5-18 to 0-22. Since losing the opening round to final day opponents Ratoath, Kiltale have improved with every game to finish the group in second place. John Donoghue’s men had comfortable wins over Na Fianna and Kilmessan in the quarter final and semi final and are the only team that Ratoath have not scored a championship goal against.
