Joe Brolly has been appointed as the new Knockmore senior ladies football manager.

The 1993 Derry All-Ireland SFC winner and former Sunday Game analyst lives locally with his wife Laurita Blewitt and their new-born daughter, and was part of Ray Dempsey’s senior men’s management team last year when Knockmore reached the Mayo SFC semi-finals.

In a statement, Knockmore LGFA said they were ‘extremely excited’ at the high-profile appointment.

“Following a meeting this evening (Monday), the Knockmore LGFA Chairperson, Patricia Dempsey, is happy to announce that Joe Brolly, has been appointed as the Knockmore LGFA Senior Manager.

“Joe brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge and the club is extremely excited at this appointment.

“Joe is looking forward to the challenge and he outlined his vision earlier with great enthusiasm and all at Knockmore GAA and LGFA wish him and the Senior Ladies team every success.”
