Kerry ace David Clifford struck two goals in the opening seven minutes of this afternoon’s Munster senior football championship final against Clare.
After Sean O’Shea had grabbed the Kingdom’s first score in Killarney with a two-pointer from play in the opening minute, Clifford had the ball in back of the Banner men’s net two minutes later with a coolly rolled finish.
The Fossa clubman was then first to pounce on the rebound of a Micheál Burns’ goal effort in the seventh minute, making it 2-2 to 0-1 in favour of the holders.
