Sean Finn was one of three second-half goalscorers for Bruff as they defeated Glenroe in the Limerick Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship.
There was little to separate the sides at half time in Friday night’s fifth-round clash at Kilfinane as they turned around with the winners ahead by 0-10 to 0-9, but quickfire goals from Danny O’Leary, wing back Finn and Darragh Butler inside a devastating ten-minute purple patch tipped the scales in favour of Paddy O’Leary’s charges.
O’Leary and Finn top-scored for the victors with 1-2 apiece. It’s back-to-back wins now for Bruff, who’ve also drawn two of their first five round-robin outings and are thus in a strong position for a top-four finish heading into the last two rounds of the second-tier competition.
Next up for the in-form men in red is a Round Six meeting with Granagh-Ballingarry.
