Mayo GAA has two more football managerial vacancies to fill following the departures of Peadar Gardiner as U20 manager, and Tom Reilly and David Heaney as joint minor managers.

At last night’s rescheduled county board meeting, it was revealed that Gardiner was stepping down for ‘personal reasons’, while Reilly and Heaney also stepped away from their minor roles. Former Crossmolina and Mayo defender Gardiner spent two years as U20 boss, delivering a first Connacht title in the grade in nine years this year.

Meanwhile, Reilly and ex-county star Heaney guided the minors to an All-Ireland MFC semi-final appearance against Kerry last month after they came up short against Roscommon in the Connacht final.

Mayo are also looking for a new senior manager after Kevin McStay was ‘relieved of his duties’ last month.
