Cuala and Thomas Davis complete Dublin SFC semi-final line-up

The Dublin SFC semi-final pairings have been confirmed after Cuala and Thomas Davis joined Ballyboden St Enda’s and Castleknock in the last-four yesterday.

Cuala set up a mouth-watering clash with southside rivals Ballyboden St Enda’s on the weekend after next after Con O’Callaghan posted 0-8 in a 1-21 to 0-19 quarter-final win over Skerries Harps at Parnell Park. Conor O’Brien’s first half goal helped the Dalkey outfit to a slender 1-9 to 0-11 lead at the break and they were never headed thereafter.

Thomas Davis will meet Castleknock in the other semi-final after they defeated Ballymun Kickhams 1-16 to 1-13 in the last of the quarter-finals at Parnell Park.

The Tallaght men led by 1-6 to 0-1 after Mark Nolan raised the game’s first green flag. The margin was still the same at the interval – 1-9 to 0-4 – but 0-8 from Dean Rock and a late Dillon Keating goal left just three points in it at the final whistle.

In Saturday’s quarter-finals, Ciaran Kilkenny’s Castleknock sent Kilmacud Crokes crashing out on a 0-17 to 0-14 scoreline, while ‘Boden squeezed past Clontarf by 0-17 to 0-14 thanks to late points from Ryan O’Dwyer and Ross McGarry.
