Tony Bronsnan struck for 1-15 as Kerry dealt Waterford a whopping 29-point defeat at Dr Crokes this afternoon to move into the McGrath Cup final.
It finished 1-27 to 0-1 at the Killarney venue, where Brosnan netted the game’s only goal five minutes into the second-half.
The All-Ireland champions were 0-20 to 0-1 up at half-time, with Brosnan and Cillian Trant among those to find their range early on for the home side.
Brosnan’s goal would put 24 points between the sides as the Kingdom went on to round off their tally to 1-27 and book their decider date against Cork next weekend.
The Rebels moved into the Munster pre-season competition’s final despite a 3-11 to 0-15 loss to Limerick this afternoon.
Jack McMcCarthy and James Naughton (2) netted the goals at Páirc Uí Rinn but they weren’t enough for the visitors as the Leesiders now look forward to a date against their old rivals for a shot at some early silverware for 2026.
