Tipperary SHC semi-final line-up confirmed

The draw for the Tipperary SHC semi-finals has taken place following a busy weekend of quarter-final action.

Nenagh Éire Óg will take on Thurles Sarsfields in one of the last-four ties, with JK Brackens and Moycarkey-Borris facing off in the other.

In yesterday’s quarter-finals, Sam O’Farrell bagged a brace of goals and Mikey Heffernan scored 0-12 as Nenagh Éire Óg cruised to a 3-29 to 0-21 victory over Cashel King Cormacs. Nenagh’s win was all the more noteworthy as they were without injured county star Jake Morris.

Holycross-Ballycahill, who dethroned Loughmore-Castleiney last weekend, exited the Dan Breen Cup race themselves following an agonising 0-28 to 2-23 defeat to JK Brackens.

Lyndon Fairbrother top-scored for the Templemore men with 1-8, while brothers Jamie and Andrew Ormond combined for 1-7. In Saturday’s double-header at FBD Semple Stadium, Moycarkery-Borris accounted for Kiladangan by 3-23 to 2-22, while rising star Kieran Rossiter struck 2-5 for Thurles Sarsfields in a comfortable 3-22 to 1-18 win over Borris-Ileigh.
