Mulroy dealt injury blow

There are fears that Sam Mulroy will not play again this year after sustaining a shoulder injury in the Louth SFC on Monday night.

LMFM is reporting that the 2025 Leinster SFC winning captain and All-Star was forced off after suffering the injury in the opening minute of Naomh Máirtín’s Group 1 defeat to St Joseph’s. Mulroy is now expected to miss the remainder of the season in what is a massive blow to Naomh Máirtín’s hopes of retaining the Joe Ward Cup.

The holders need to beat St Fechin’s in their final group match on Sunday to qualify for the knockout stages. In the meantime, their talisman will undergo an MRI scan to ascertain the extent of the damage.
