Kieran McGeeney is staying on as Armagh senior football manager for a 13th season.

The All-Ireland SFC winning captain and manager was ratified for another year at a county board meeting last night. He has been the longest-serving inter-county football manager since 2023 when Colm Collins ended his tenure in Clare.

'Geezer' succeeded Paul Grimley as Orchard County boss in 2014 and had to wait five years for his first win in the Ulster SFC. But since then, he led Armagh to All-Ireland SFC glory in 2024 and a long-awaited Ulster SFC title at Monaghan's expense this summer after they lost three finals on the bounce.

Armagh's season ended with a heavy All-Ireland SFC Round 3 loss to Kerry in Killarney.

Barry O'Hagan was also reappointed as Armagh U20 football manager at last night's meeting.
