Naas will play Maynooth in the Kildare senior hurling championship final for the second successive year after both came through their respective semi-finals yesterday.

Defending champions Naas recorded an emphatic 5-18 to 0-7 win over Coill Dubh to stay on course for their seventh Tony Carew Memorial Perpetual Cup success in-a-row.

Simon Leacy, Jack Sheridan (2) and Fionn Maher (2) supplied the goals in what would be a 26-point victory for Naas.

The later game in Newbridge saw Maynooth storm to a 2-26 to 2-16 win against Eire Og as they bid for their first county SHC triumph since 1939.

Eire Og netted an early goal through Sean O’Neill but their opponents would still go on to lead by 0-12 to 1-6 at the half and added goals via Tadhg Forde and Cian Forde in the second-half on the way to a double digit victory.
