Having already been brought to the four corners of the county, the Sam Maguire Cup will tour every school in Mayo between now and the end of the year.
The famous trophy will be accompanied by members of Mayo’s All-Ireland SFC winning team and county board officials to over 140 schools. Since Tuesday, Sam has visited national schools in Ballaghaderreen, Brusa, Derrinabroc, Kilkelly, Tavenna and Kilmovee as well as Charlestown PP. On today’s schedule are Craggagh NS, Kiltimagh NS and St Louis CS, Kiltimagh.
Mayo is still on a high after the county ended its 75-year wait for All-Ireland glory on July 26. Separate arrangements are being made for Sam to visit Mayo's special education schools.
