The meeting of heavyweights Kerry and Armagh is the standout fixture in Round 3 of the All-Ireland SFC.

This morning’s draw on RTÉ Radio 1’s Morning Ireland pitted the last two All-Ireland champions against each other in Killarney next weekend. It was the toughest possible draw Armagh could have got after their dramatic last-second defeat to Louth in Inniskeen yesterday.

The other big tie is the clash of Dublin and Donegal. With Dublin first out of the hat, that game is set to be played in Croke Park.

Monaghan’s reward for knocking out Connacht champions Roscommon is another home tie against Leinster kingpins Westmeath, while Mayo are at home to Meath in the other Round 3 clash.

Repeat pairings were avoided in the draw – Westmeath v Dublin, Armagh v Monaghan, Donegal v Kerry and Mayo v Monaghan.

Times, dates and venues for the Round 3 fixtures – which will be played next weekend – will be confirmed later by the CCCC. The winners progress to the All-Ireland quarter-finals on the weekend of June 27/28 where they will be drawn against Tyrone, Galway, Cork and Louth.
