Storm Boelo has forced changes to the Galway, Leitrim and Mayo football championship schedules this weekend, with several finals postponed or rescheduled due to adverse weather forecasts.

The Galway senior football championship final between Moycullen and Salthill-Knocknacarra will now take place at Pearse Stadium on Sunday at 4pm, having originally been scheduled for Saturday evening.

The Leitrim SFC final replay between Ballinamore Sean O'Heslins and Fenagh St Caillins has also been moved from Saturday to Sunday, with throw-in at 2.30pm in Carrick-on-Shannon

In Mayo, the intermediate and junior B football championship finals due to take place on Saturday have also been postponed.

MacHale Park will host a triple-header on Sunday, beginning with the junior A final between Ardagh and Eastern Gaels at noon. Ballinrobe and Davitts will contest the intermediate decider at 1.45pm, before Garrymore and Castlebar Mitchels clash in the senior football championship final at 3.30pm.

The changes come as severe winds and heavy rain are forecast across the west of Ireland with the arrival of Storm Boelo.
