Two-time All-Ireland winner Ken Hogan has called on Tipperary fans to turn out and give “huge support” to the county’s minor hurlers on Saturday week.
James Woodlock’s side face Limerick in the All-Ireland MHC final on June 27th at the TUS Gaelic Grounds where the Premier County will be looking for a record-extending 23rd success in the competition.
Speaking on TippFM’s ‘Extra-Time’ programme, Hogan said that Tipp deserve a big boost from their supporters at the Limerick venue for the game.
“I think the biggest thing for Tipp going into an All-Ireland final it is all to play for, the cup is up for grabs,” said the former Premier goalkeeper.
“The management team have been there before, they have that experience, but this Limerick team are no slouches, they are really on the crest of a wave.
“From our perspective, we’ll need huge support for this game and I think the Tipperary supporters got such satisfaction out of the comeback win last Saturday that they will travel in their droves and that is what this team deserves, to get that boost from the Tipperary crowd and really go at this.”
