Paudie Clifford scored a sensational late winning goal as Fossa came back from the dead to edge out Beaufort in the Kerry IFC quarter-final yesterday.
Trailing by a point with time running out, Clifford chipped the Beaufort goalkeeper after being set up by his brother and fellow Kerry star David. The brothers combined for 2-9 out of Fossa's 2-11 total.
Asked by Clubber afterwards if his shot was a mis-hit, Paudie cheekily replied: "I was (going for goal) yeah, because I would have hand-passed it over if I wanted to get a point!
"I didn't put as much on it as I wanted, I mistimed it, didn't connect perfectly with it. I think the wind might have brought it. But I was there anyways to tap it in if it didn't reach."
TweetOH. MY. GOD.🤯Paudie Clifford that is OUTRAGEOUS😮💨
