Micheál Cahill has confirmed his backroom team as the new Limerick senior football manager, with John O’Grady and Tommy Stack among the appointments.
Cahill, the Mungret St Paul’s clubman, was confirmed as Jimmy Lee’s successor at the October county board meeting after previously serving as head coach under Lee. He is set to take charge on a two-year term, with the option of a third season.
O’Grady, who managed the Limerick U20 footballers, joins the senior setup following his spell in charge of the county’s underage side. Former Limerick captain Stack has also been named as a selector.
Cahill brings valuable experience to the role, having worked with the Clare footballers before joining Limerick’s senior management team. His appointment follows Lee’s decision to step aside after three seasons, with the outgoing manager publicly backing Cahill as his successor.
