New Cork hurling manager Ben O’Connor has suffered an early setback with the news that Niall O’Halloran has stepped down as coach after only three months in the role.
The Ballinhassig man won’t be involved in 2026 and it remains to be seen if O’Connor will seek a replacement. O’Halloran was part of the new Cork management which was announced in September along with O’Connor and selectors Ronan Curran, Terence McCarthy and William Biggane.
He previously coached the Cork minors in 2018 and has enjoyed club success with Bandon, Éire Óg, Fr O’Neill's and Lisgoold.
O’Connor’s first Allianz League game as Cork manager will be against Waterford at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Sunday, January 25 at 3.45pm.
TweetCork GAA can confirm that Niall O'Halloran is no longer involved with the Cork Senior Hurling set-up.
