Gregory McGonigle has returned as manager of the Armagh senior ladies football team, just a year after stepping away from the post.
The former Monaghan and Dublin manager led the Orchard County to a Lidl National League Division 1 and Ulster Championship double in 2024 before losing to eventual champions Kerry by four points in the All-Ireland semi-final. He was succeeded this year by Darnell Parkinson and Joe Feeney, who were part of his management team in '24.
Armagh lost this year's Division 1 League final to Kerry before retaining their Ulster crown. However, a surprise loss to Kildare, coupled with a draw against Meath, meant they failed to qualify for the knockout stages of the All-Ireland series.
McGonigle will be assisted by Darren Swift, Paddy McNally and Fergal Duffy. Meath LGFA stalwart Feargal Harney, who is a native of Armagh, was also believed to be in the running for the role.
