Michael McKernan has been named in Tyrone’s matchday squad for tomorrow’s All-Ireland senior football championship semi-final against Kerry at Croke Park (5pm).
The Coalisland clubman has not featured for the Red Hands since suffering a shoulder injury in the opening stages of their group stage win against Cavan last month and it looked unlikely that he would be available for this weekend’s showdown with the Kingdom.
However, manager Malachy O’Rourke named him on the bench in his selection this morning which sees Tyrone sticking with the same starting 15 which saw off Dublin a fortnight ago.
It means Brian Kennedy and Conn Kilpatrick continue at centre-field as Tyrone look to upset the Munster champions for their first Sam Maguire Cup decider berth since 2021, with Peter Harte named at centre half-forward and Mattie Donnelly at full-forward where Darren McCurry and Darragh Canavan will be either side.
