David Clifford scored a whopping 0-16, while his brother Paudie chipped in with 0-5 as Fossa pipped Beaufort after extra-time in a high-scoring Kerry club IFC semi-final yesterday.

Fossa came from nine points down to edge a thrilling encounter by 2-25 to 2-24, with David landing the winning point. Peter Keane’s Beaufort led by 1-10 to 1-7 at half-time and extended their advantage before the Clifford brothers inspired a Fossa comeback which tied up the scoring at 2-18 apiece and sent the tie to extra-time.

Fossa will meet Kilcummin in the decider next weekend after they also needed extra-time to see off Glenflesk by 1-18 to 1-14. The sides were tied on 1-11 each at the end of normal time, but the class of the O’Leary brothers, Sean and Philip, told for Kilcummin in the end.

In the club IFC relegation final, Castleisland Desmonds got the better of St Mary’s on a 0-18 to 2-9 scoreline.
