Brendan Cummins is hoping for a huge Tipperary turnout as his side get set to face Kilkenny at Nowlan Park in tomorrow’s All-Ireland U20 hurling championship final (3pm).

Tipp lost out to Offaly on the same stage at the same venue last year and will be eager to banish those ghosts and land their county’s first James Nowlan Cup since 2019.

Speaking to TippFM Sport this week, Premier boss Cummins said he’s hoping the away support can help his team over the line as they get set to face into "The Lion's Den".

“I would say to the Tipperary supporters to come along, this group of players have given us huge entertainment over the last two years and you can see some of them are starting to feed in to the senior panel and they are making a difference to the senior panel as well.

“They are well worth supporting and I know Tipperary people will.

“I was down last year in Nowlan Park for the minor final and there is no doubt that the Tipperary support got Tipp across the line that night.

“We’ll be hoping for a similar attendance on Saturday for the final and be nice and loud as well because our lads will need it because we are really going into the lion’s den and we’re under no illusions about that.”
