Jim McGuinness’s Donegal squad are set to depart for Mexico for their team holiday at the end of this month.
The holiday will see the Ulster champions journeying to North America as they look to get their travels out of the way early this year ahead of preparations for the 2026 season.
Last year saw the Tir Conaill men travelling to Abu Dhabi in December for week-long a warm weather training camp in Al Reem Island - a trip which coincided with the lifting of the ban on collective training.
Now the squad will be bound for Mexico in a few weeks’ time having received €150,000 towards their holiday from the GAA along with fellow All-Ireland senior finalists Kerry, Tipperary and Cork.
It’s understood that All-Ireland football champions Kerry will spend part of their team holiday in Nashville, Tennessee later this month before travelling to Cancun.
