Cathal McShane has switched codes after opting out of the Tyrone football panel last month.
The 2021 All-Ireland winning forward is resuming his soccer career with Strabane Athletic, who will play in the Irish League’s third tier for the first time next season after securing promotion.
"I'm delighted to be signing with Strabane Athletic, a club I've played with in the past and always kept a close eye on, it was brilliant to see the recent success, a real credit to everyone involved," said McShane, whose last appearance for the Red Hands came against Cavan in their Ulster SFC opener against Cavan.
"From a personal note I'm really excited to get back playing and do whatever it takes to help drive the club forward and to reach the heights it's capable of."
