Clough/Ballacolla’s thrilling Laois SHC victory over local rivals The Harps last Friday night was overshadowed by a post-match brawl.
Laois CCC is expected to probe the row which erupted just after the final whistle. There was clearly no love lost between the two sets of players as tempers reached boiling point after the holders’ 1-20 to 3-12 Group A win secured their place in the knockout stages under the Laois Hire O’Moore Park floodlights.
Clough/Ballacolla finished the game with 14 players after Robbie Phelan was sent off for a wild pull on The Harps goalkeeper Michael Lanigan in the 54th minute.
