Armagh captain Aidan Forker says the Ulster champions will be “under no illusions” when they face Louth in their All-Ireland SFC Round 2A clash on Sunday week.

Following Tuesday morning’s second round draw in the Sam Maguire Cup race, which gave Gavin Devlin’s side home advantage, it was confirmed that Inniskeen would be the venue for the game.

With construction work currently taking place on a new home venue in Dundalk, Louth have played 'home' championship matches outside of the county and Grattan Park will host the meeting of the Wee County and Kieran McGeeney’s men on June 14th, with the winners advancing straight through to the All-Ireland quarter-finals.

Speaking to the media this week, Forker has said that he is unconcerned by the venue for the game.

Instead, it’s the opposition that is more on the Maghery man’s mind ahead of the derby clash with the prize of a place in the last eight up for grabs.

“It’s a great incentive to get to Croke Park. Any time you’re there in the latter part of the season is a good thing,” Forker told GAA.ie

“It’s a good card to dangle in front of any team but, as I say, we’re under no illusions how good they can be.

“Hopefully, we’ll be at the right pitch of it come next weekend to be ready for it and we’ll be looking forward to it.”
