This weekend sees the 2026 Leinster and Munster senior hurling championships officially getting underway.

On Saturday, Galway and holders Kilkenny commence the Bob O'Keeffe Cup at Pearse Stadium (4.30pm), with Offaly and Dublin set to clash in Tullamore at 6.30pm. Both games will be live on GAA+. Meanwhile, up north, BBC NI’s cameras will be at Celtic Park for the Ulster senior football championship quarter-final between Derry and Antrim (5pm).

Sunday’s early clash on RTE sees Clare and Waterford meeting in the Munster senior hurling championship in Ennis (2pm) before a repeat of last year’s All-Ireland SHC final between Tipperary and Cork in Thurles (4pm).

The winners of Derry and Antrim will be watching with interest as Monaghan play Cavan that afternoon in Clones (3pm) where BBC NI’s cameras are set to be.
