Gardaí have called on all GAA supporters to enjoy All-Ireland SHC final weekend in a safe, responsible manner by following public health guidelines.
Limerick and Waterford will meet in the Liam MacCarthy decider at Croke Park on Sunday for the first time in history, preceded by the Joe McDonagh Cup final between Antrim and Kerry. Meanwhile, tomorrow evening, the All-Ireland senior camogie final takes place at headquarters, and, there is of course, no spectators allowed in on both days.
An Garda Síochána, working alongside the GAA, are encouraging supporters to watch the game at home and stay away from gatherings.
"We want this to be a great occasion for everyone, but we all must remember that Covid-19 doesn't take a day off even for an All-Ireland final," Deputy Garda Commissioner John Twomey said.
"An Garda Síochána, along with the GAA, are committed to playing our part. We are asking GAA supporters to continue to play their part by following the public health guidelines and regulations.
"If you are somewhere to watch the match and there are too many people there - leave."
