Tyrone's request for a postponement of Sunday's All-Ireland SFC semi-final against Kerry has been granted.
The game will now be played on Saturday week, August 21 due a Covid-19 outbreak in the Tyrone squad. The All-Ireland SFC final has also been deferred by a week to Saturday, September 4 to allow the winners adequate time to prepare for the decider against either Dublin or Mayo, who meet this Saturday evening in Croke Park.
The postponement is good news for supporters of Offaly and Roscommon whose All-Ireland U20FC final was due to act as the curtain-raiser at Croke Park on Sunday. It will now go ahead as a stand-alone fixture at the slightly later time of 1.30pm, meaning there will be more than enough tickets to go around. Under currrent restrictions, GAA headquarters has a capacity of 24,000.
