Intermediate Championship Final
All roads lead to Cusack Park this Saturday for our championship final. All the preparations are done and all the hard work put in by all concerned will hopefully come to fruition on the day. Throw in is at 3.30 and let's hope that we have a massive crowd to cheer on the lads.
Flags, Signs and Bunting

Hard Luck
Hard luck to Multyfarnham who came agonisingly close to capturing the Junior football championship on Sunday, when they were narrowly defeated by Milltown in a thrilling game. Hopefully we can make up for the disappointment on Saturday. Aaron Orme Age 22

Another man who has given his all in a number of positions in the last couple of seasons. Our Junior goalie this year, he has fantastic control and a huge puck.
Alan O' Mara Age 38
Proving that age is just a number Alan has been rolling back the years with some outstanding performances from corner back this year. Any corner forward will know all about his tough, no-nonsense style of hurling.
Andy Boyhan Age 25
One of the fastest and fittest players in our panel Andy has put in some great performances at midfield this year when called upon in both Junior and Intermediate.
Antoin Savage Age 28 (Captain)
Our captain this year Antoin has really led by example with his performances from centre back. A strong and extremely talented hurler has been solid all year and contributed some vital scores from distance. Would love to climb the steps on Saturday.
Barry O' Mara Age 24
One of our top performers for the last few seasons Barry has continued to top the scoring charts for us this year. Reliable from placed balls and capable of the spectacular from play, he also has a sharp eye for goal. Has become a real leader on the team. Plays football with Bunbrosna.
Brian McLoughlin Age 22
A strong and powerful running forward, Brian has really matured as a player this year to become a vital part of our team. Always works hard and chips in with vital scores. Also represented Multy in the county final this year.
Conor Savage Age 20
The youngest of the three Savage brothers on the squad, Conor possesses great skill and pace and has featured in both defence and attack to equal effect this season.
Damien Grifferty Age 33
Our vice captain this year, Damien is another player who leads by example. Solid as a rock on the edge of the square. A very committed player, 'Griff' is one of our key players.
Edward Nally Age 24
Strong as an ox and very hard working, Ed always gives his all on the pitch. Does the simple things very well at midfield and is certainly an unsung hero on our team. Would love to win a medal with his brother Jonathan.
Enda Murray Age 33
Captain of the team back in 2012 Enda remains a leader on our team. Has had a brilliant year at corner back, and any forward will earn a score off him. A great clubman. Will be hoping to help bring his father's cup back to The Wood.
Gerard Brennan Age 30
A very powerful, strong hurler Ger is a nightmare for any defence he encounters. Is one of the best strikers of the ball in the club. Has been plagued with injuries this year but will surely have a vital role to play on Saturday.
Ian McGovern Age 19
A relatively new member of the panel Ian has excelled in the half forward line this year. Very pacy and strong and an excellent fielder of the ball Ian is a handful for any defender. Another Multy footballer playing in his second county final in the space of a week.
JJ Brennan Age 31
JJ is a tough, hardy competitor who always puts in 100%. A very committed member of the panel, JJ does his best work on the edge of the opposition square. Older brother of Tomás.
Johnny Orme Age 40
A legend in the club, played a starring role in our last two Intermediate Championship final victories and will be hoping to do the same on Saturday. Has put in huge effort all year, and still has the capability of making any defender in the county look foolish with his cleverness and skill and is still as accurate as ever.
Jonathan Nally Age 17
The youngest member of our panel is also one of our most committed. Uses his height to great effect under a high ball and is a great tackler. Had a great year at wing back and is certainly one for the future.
Kevin Orme Age 27
Kevin is an excellent hurler and has super skill levels. Has been hit with injury this year but when fit to play, makes a huge contribution. Has come up with some crucial scores this year. Can play anywhere on the pitch but is most comfortable in defence. Has been on the Westmeath senior panel in recent years.
Kieran Yourell Age 22
Probably our best player in the Semi-Final Kieran has played his way into form this season. Very strong and courageous Kieran's hard working running game will make him a nightmare for any wing back. Plays football with Bunbrosna.
Noel Kiernan age 34
Dual player with Multy, Noel is one of the fastest and fittest players on the panel. Can play as either wing or corner back and will always make it difficult for his marker.
Noel Yourell Age 30
One of our most experienced players, Noel has had a fantastic season this year. Operating at centre forward he is a great team player who has also become an important leader and a frequent scorer. Has really given his all to the cause this year. Plays his football for Bunbrosna.
Richie Crowley Age 29
Another quick and skillful hurler who can really trouble a defence with his pace and sidestep. A hard-working corner forward who has recovered from a bad hand injury early in the year to break back into the team. Was heavily involved in Éire Óg's successful under 14 team this year.
Ronan Scally Age 24
Another Dual player with Bunbrosna, Ronan is a very fit and clever hurler. Has been a great leader in midfield this year, chipping in with regular scores and will play a big part on Saturday.
Ronan Wallace Age 19
Has burst onto the scene this year at wing back and been a revelation. Very assured performer who always picks out his man with a pass. Comfortable under a high ball and pacey enough to contend with any forward. Another Multy footballer.
Seamus Savage Age 25
Another player who has hurled with the county in the last couple of seasons, Seamus is a very fit, confident hurler. Playing at wing back this year he has been very solid and always picks the right pass out of defence. Brother of Antoin and Conor.
Shane McGovern Age 23
Westmeath's number 1 for the last few seasons, Shane has been one of our top performers again this year. An excellent shot-stopper with a great puck out, Shane has also contributed some great scores from placed balls this year. Will be hoping to keep another clean sheet on Saturday.
Simon McCarthy Age 22
Blessed with incredible pace Simon is a very accurate forward. A really unselfish team player, Simon has had a great season chipping in with some great scores and eye-catching solo runs. Would be fully deserving of another medal this year.
Simon McGovern age 23
A relative newcomer to hurling Simon has come on in leaps and bounds this year. Very tough competitor with a fine strike of a ball, Simon is a great addition to the panel.
Tomás 'MOSSY' Brennan Age 25
Mossy,brother to JJ is a very honest huler who always gives his all. Has played his best hurling at corner back this year and his tight marking and no-nonsense approach have been features of his play.

Gerard McGovern Age 24
A very tough and skillful hurler, Ger has been cursed with injury the last couple of seasons. Older brother to Shane, he has represented the county at all ages and we hope to see him back on the playing fields very soon.
Micheál Savage age 27
One of the best hurlers in the club, Micheál has been tied up with work commitments this year but is always a hardy competitor who can play anywhere on the field when called upon
