SENIOR LEAGUE
Tyrrellspass travelled to Tubberclair last Thursday evening to play a very important senior league game. Fielding a strong team Tyrrellspass raced into a five point lead our scores coming from Denis Glennon 3 and one each from David Glennon and Dean McNicholas. Tubberclair replied with two points but Denis Glennon added two more points for Tyrrellspass leaving the score 7 points to 2 after 15 minutes. At this stage of the game the home team were creating the more chances and were rewarded with a goal to reduce the lead to one point. But to give Tyrrellspass credit they replied straight away with a very good goal from Jamie Gonoud. Both teams went at it hard for the rest of the half with Tubberclair getting two more points and Tyrrellspass getting one from David Glennon leaving the half time score Tyrrellspass 1-8 to Tubberclair 1-4. The second half started with both sides sharing two points apeice our scorers were David Glennon and Dean McNicholas but then Tyrrellspass went on a run of five points all from play from Dean McNicholas, Brian Slevin, Ger Egan, Denis Glennon and Conor Slevin who had replaced Brian putting the score at 1-15 to 1-6 with 18 minutes gone in the second half. But like the first half Tubberclair were let back into the game after a mixup in our goalmouth led to the ball endining up in the back of the net leaving six points between the sides with ten minutes remaning. Tyrrellspass knew it was vital to get two points from this game and yet again replied with another goal from a penalty by Martin Flanagan and two more points from play by Dean McNicholas and Denis Glennon. Tubberclair fought to the end and got two late points to leave the final score Tyrrellspass 2-17 to Tubberclair 2-8.

DIVISION THREE
On Tuesday evening our second team travelled to Ballymore to play the home team in the Division three league. By giving some of our senior players a rest after Sundays Championship match we fielded a very young team and this was a chance for them to impress the management and that they did by grinding out a well deserved win. This game was played in very wet conditions and it was hard for both sides to play any quality football but Tyrrellspass seemed to adapt the better and with the aid of the wind and some very bad shooting from Ballymore they went in at half time leading 2-4 to 0-3 our scores coming from John Corcoran 0-1, Brian Slevin 0-1 Ciaran Daly 1-1 and Mark Staunton 1-0. Ballymore made the better start to the second half and reduced the lead to three points but Tyrrellspass battled back and got their only scores of the second half a goal from Mark Staunton and a point from Brian Slevin to put seven between the sides with 12minutes remaning. Ballymore tried hard to get something out of the game but great defending by our backs and some fine saves from Brendan Daly in goals meant Ballymore could only add two more points to their score leaving the final score Tyrrellspass 3-4 to Ballymore 0-8. LOTTO RESULTS

There was no winner of last weekends lotto jackpot of €11,400. Numbers drawn were 4, 8, 19 and 21. The following people matched three numbers and each receive €50. Kathleen O'Brien pro Rom Deegan, Daniel and Lucy pro John Hyland, Maria Arigho pro Centra and Mary Brennan pro Centra. Promoters prize went to Gonouds and players prize went to Seanie Bagnall. Next weeks jackpot will be €11,600 and the draw will take place in Willies on Sunday night due to Championship match on Saturday evening.

UNDERAGE
The under 12 team travelled to Ballynacargy last Wednesday evening to play the home team in a league game. After having some fine victories of late we were hoping to put in another good performance. With both teams playing some very good football and great scores taken on both sides we finaly won out on a score line of Tyrrellspass 3-8 to ballynacargy 1-2.Team ; Jake Haverty, Jamie Corcoran, William Feery, Jack Langan, Sean Dowdall, Dean Harte, Craig Coyne, Adam Flanagan, Thomas Ryan, Cian Alford, Garry Farrell, Owen Martin, Evan Connell, Cathal Monaghan.
