Waterford hurling star Tom Devine can claim to be part of 'Ireland's Fittest Family'.

The Modeligo clubman, who has won All-Ireland MHC and Allianz League medals with the Deise in the past couple of years, was a key member of the O'Brien Devine family which triumphed in the final of the RTE1 series last night, scooping €15,000 in the process.

The O'Brien Devine's were coached by Clare hurling boss Davy Fitzgerald, who is co-creator of the popular TV show.

Devine won many admirers when he presented his jersey to a wheelchair-bound Waterford fan just moments after starring in last May's Allianz League final victory over Cork at Semple Stadium.

A fantastic moment from Sunday's HL final...Waterford goalscorer Tom Devine hands his jersey to a young wheel-chair...
