Kilkenny speed merchant Eddie Brennan
Eddie Brennan will be free to line out for Kilkenny in Sunday's rescheduled NHL clash with Galway after having his four-week ban quashed last night.
The All-Star attacker was sent off along with Waterford's Declan Prendergast following an off-the-ball incident in last weekend's stormy encounter at Walsh Park. Referee Anthony Stapleton acted on the advice of his umpires before sending both players off.
However, Brennan last night had his ban overturned after appearing before the Central Hearings Committee. Prendergast, who was caught by TV cameras striking the Kilkenny man on the head with his hurl, has accepted his eight-week suspension.
