Nominations for minor football manager sought

The Minor Board has urged all clubs to forward on their nominations for the vacant Meath minor football post before August 19.
With Davy Dalton's two year term coming to an end after last Monday's All-Ireland quarter-final defeat to Tipperary, minor board officials are keen that the position be filled before the U17 leagues start next month.
Nomination forms are already with clubs and an August 19 deadline has been put in place for their return.
The minor board is anxious that the role is filled by September's County Board meeting so that the person at the helm can view players in U17FL action, with that competition starting in September.
Davy Dalton could continue in the role if nominated by clubs, although it is not certain he wishes to take on another two year term. Outgoing selectors Padraig Coyle, PJ Gillic and Dermot Rooney, together with current U17 manager Kit Henry are others who are likely to be nominated for the job.
