New pitch for DKIT?

June 03, 2010
DKIT will submit plans for a new multi-purpose stadium to Louth GAA for approval.

If the ambitious plans go ahead, they would see gaelic games, soccer and rugby co-exist in one arena at the college. The GAA would own the stadium and would lease it out to the IRFU and FAI.

It has been mooted that the stadium - with a capacity of 10,000 to 12,000 - could even solve Louth's county ground problem.

However, county chairman Padraic O'Connor insists that regardless of what transpires the County Board is fully committed to developing the Gaelic Grounds in Drogheda.
