West Minor A Hurling Champions 2010, that defeated Mick Nevilles in the Final
Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Notes by: Gareth Meaney 
For Wednesday and Thursday 8th and 9th of September 2010 
ALL ROADS LEAD TO FOYNES 
For the West Minor A Football Championship against Adare, in Foynes, on Friday September 10th, at 6.15pm. 
With the hurlers already won the A Hurling Final against Mick Neville's, it's over to the Footballers to complete the Double of West Minor A Championship for 2010, this has not been done in the club since 2002, it was done by players, the likes of Sean Buckley, Garrett Noonan and Dee O'Leary, were members of the team back in 2002 that completed the double. 
Our way to the final we defeated Deel Rangers on a scoreline of 4-18 to 2-07, we won against St. Senan's by 6-17 to 0-03, won against Adare on a scoreline of 4-7 to 0-8.  We won against Glin on a scoreline of 5-10 to 0-05, won against St. Mary's/ Sean Finn's on a scoreline of 4-7 to 1-7 and we got a walkover from St. James's (Cappagh and Gerald Griffins). 
The best of luck once again to Minor Footballers Management Team of Maurice McCarthy, Garrett Noonan, Ray Lynch and Gareth Meaney and Minor Footballers lead by Kevin Noonan Captain against Adare, on Friday September 10th, in Foynes, at 6.15pm.  Please Support these players because they are the players of the future of the Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club.

West Junior B Hurling Championship Semi-Final 
Feoghanagh     1-14
Dromcollogher/ Broadford    0-07 
This is a very one sided game, with the better and stronger team running out winners in the end by a margin of nine points and hard luck to our Junior B Hurlers Management Team lead by Din O'Carroll and Junior B Hurlers lead by James Noonan on losing Feoghanagh. 
Jimmy Kiely of Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Damien Sexton of Feoghanagh exchanged points in the opening minutes of the game.  Diarmuid Creadon scored the first and only goal of the game for Feoghanagh.  Keith Lacey of Dromcollogher/ Broadford replied with three unanswered frees to bring the sides back on level terms for the second time in the game.  Feoghanagh scored the next five points without reply from Dromcollogher/ Broadford and these points came from Diarmuid Creadon 2 points, Barry Noonan a point, Noel Kirwan a point and Mike Quaid a point.  Keith Lacey replied with another pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford just before the break to leave five points between the sides at half-time.  To leave the score at half-time Feoghanagh 1-7 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-05. 
Keith Lacey replied with two pointed frees for Dromcollogher/ Broadford early in the second half to leave a goal between the sides and then Feoghanagh scored the next seven points without reply from Dromcollogher/ Broadford and these points came from: Diarmuid Creadon 3 points, Johnny Greaney 2 points, Barry Noonan a point and Damien Sexton a point.  To leave 10 points between the sides at end of the game.  To leave the score at full-time Feoghanagh 1-14 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-07.

West Minor Football Championship Round 6 
We received a walkover from St. James's (Cappagh and Gerard Griffins), there last Tuesday night, they could not field a team on the night in question and we got the points from St. James's.
