Mohill GAA club notes

February 10, 2014
Minor League
After many successful years involved with Mohill, Mickey Quinn is now using his undoubted skills to help train his native Cloone. We thank Mickey for all his hard work and hopefully he will be back soon again at some level. The Minors this year have John Baxter at the helm assisted by Paul McGuinness and they started the League campaign off with a win over a strong Melvin Gaels team. The lineout and scorers were. Cal Rawlinson, Paul Foy, James Mitchell, Jack McGarry, Kevin Flynn, Oisin Madden, Alan Tuthill, Keith Keegan, Michael Bohan, Shane McGowan 0-2, Jamie Stenson 0-1, Sean McGuinness 0-1, Fiachra McGuinness 0-1, Keith Beirne 3-2, Ronan Gordon 0-2, Subs used were, Jamie Cosgrove, David Mitchell, Eoghan Keegan, Ethan Harkin, Alan Keenan. Other subs were, Kailon Harkin, Ryan Murphy, Mikolaj Sempka, Gavin Gordon. After a good fast game played in cold wintery conditions, the Mohill team and menthors were treated to tea and sandwiches which was very much appreciated.

Paddy Fox
We express our deepest sympathy with the family of Paddy Fox who died last week. Paddy was ever present at matches in Annaduff welcoming all to the Park and never raising his voice in anger. One of the nicest most sincere people you could ever meet. Ní beidh a leithéad arís ann. Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar a anam uasal
Bridget Howard
The Club extend deepest sympathy to the Michael Howard and family Bornacoolaa on the death of his mother last week. When Mrs Howard in her prime was one of the first supporters of our Lotto and for years she never missed a week. May she rest in peace

County Team
Well done to our County team who drew with Clare on Sunday last. Danny Beck was our rep there.

Senior and Intermediate League
Both these teams will start their League campaign on Sunday next when they play Manor in the Philly McGuinness Park. Seniors at 2pm and Intermediates at 4.30pm. Manor will be very strong in both grades so we need our 16th man up in the Stand

Minors
The minors will probably be playing at the weekend so watch this paper's fixtures
