In some thrilling encounters in Clane on Sunday the Senior, Intermediate, Junior A & B championships were decided.
Senior Final
In a close encounter the defending Senior champions JohnstownBridge over came St Laurence's by 1.14 to 2.06, with Siobhan Hurley for JTB scoring 1.10 and named player of the match. St Laurence's will regret some missed chances they lead at half time 2.04 to 1.04, but in the second half JTB kept them to 2 points , JTB took all their chances with Siobhan scoring 7 more points to seal the victory. Best for St Laurence's was Carol Nolan who was outstanding, Deirbhile Byrne in her first year at adult looked dangerous throughout and goalie Melanie Treacy who pulled off a spectacular save to keep them within reach, she was unlucky with a when Hurley's free dropped low into the back of the net. Johnstownbridge meet Kilcormac of Offaly in the 1ST round of Leinster at home next Saturday.

Clane took home the cup in the Intermediate Camogie Final with a 2.08 to 1.06 win over Leixlip. In a close match from the start, Clane looked nervous in the first half with the 16 year old Sarah Cribbin player of the match coping best with the nerves. In the second half Clane steadied and Leixlip found it hard to break down the Clane defence, Melissa Lyons for Clane was on target & Leixlip had a few wides that could have changed the end result. In the end the girls from Clane emerged victorious to the delight of their supporters, Clane dropped down from Senior this year having had some tough fallow years their hunger was evident.

In the Junior A Final Athy League & Championship winners in 2011 were going for the double again, after 10 mins they were 2.02 up to Moorefield and looked to be easing home. Moore field regrouped and the first half ended Athy 2.07 to Moorefield 1.01, with a square ball disallowed for Athy. Athy's captain Eimear Garry was converting all her free's from far out scoring 1.04, with a goal from a free near the 65 line she took home the cup and player of the match. Moorefield's captain Dearbhail Kelly never gave up, and the score line didn't reflect their effort but Athy's defence remained solid particularly with goalie Georgina Maher catching flawless. Special mention to the ageless Lily Bowden who scored 1.01 and a goal disallowed beside daughter Laura, vowing this year to be her final retirement from 4 decades of camogie.

The Junior B Final Kill 3.07 to Eire Og .01, Kill powered to victory and Eire Og with some injuries had no answer to a Kill who had been narrowly beaten last year in the championship and this year in the league. Player of the match was Kill's Grainne Temple.
