Neither Darragh O'Connell nor David Butler will be available to the Kerry hurlers in 2015.
O'Connell has completed a transfer from Abbeydorney to Dublin club Cuala, while Tipperary man Butler is no longer part of the Kingdom panel due to a change in his working circumstances.
Manager Eamonn Kelly is disappointed to lose both men and - speaking in The Kerryman - says of O'Connell, who is being tipped for an intercounty transfer to the Dubs:
"He'll be a huge loss. He's a very versatile hurler - that's why I'm not surprised for two reasons.
"He probably wanted to hurl at the top level, he has the abilities to make most panels.
"He's hugely professional, he doesn't smoke or drink, the attitude is 100%. If he doesn't make Dublin this year, he will make it [in the future]."
