Every hear the one about the Kerry club team that had a player sent off, but still managed to finish the match with 15 players?

Well, that's exactly what happened during the weekend of West Kerry and Kilcummin in the Kerry county senior football championship last weekend.

Kilcummin player Ian Devane was shown a red card for an off the ball incident in the final minutes of extra time in their draw with West Kerry.

The referee consulted with his officials over the matter and during this time, the player was substituted by his team with Jer Sheehan replacing Devane.

The match official then issued the red card to Devane who was on the line and allowed Sheehan to remain on the pitch for the last few minutes.

When the referee's report is sent into the Kerry CCC, they are set to investigate the matter. Tweet
