Portumna are out of the Galway SHC after succumbing to champions Gort in this afternoon's quarter-final at Kenny Park.
In what was a repeat of last year's county final, the sides were level on 0-10 apiece at the break. However, Gort never looked back after Gerry Quinn's goal just after the restart sent them on their way to a 1-19 to 0-19 victory.
Gort join Craughwell in the last four after they edged out Liam Mellows by 0-21 to 2-14. Yesterday's other quarter-final between Loughrea and St. Thomas' ended in a 2-15 to 0-21 draw.
