Paddy Murphy, Ballagh House Prize: Tommy Kelly Sellers Prize: Doreen Glynn Draw will be held in Pardy's Laurencetown next Saturday night for a Jackpot of ?10,800 The Kiltormer GAA and Camogie Dinner Dance was held in Gullane's Hotel, Ballinasloe on Friday night last. The 1983 U-21 title winning team was honoured on the 25th anniversary of their famous win over near neighbours Mullagh. Former greats such as Ollie Kilkenny, Aidan Staunton, Brendan Dervan, Joe Rogers, Declan Jennings and Pakie Dervan were present on the night to receive their mementoes of the occasion. Manager of the team Andy Fenton introduced all the players, and recounted some of the games and happenings of the time. The Junior C winning team of 2008 were presented with County medals, while presentations were also made to players who represented Galway teams during the year by special guests on the night Vincent Mullins and Ollie Turner of Galway Bay FM. Special mention was made of the late Johnny Lynch who was a valued member of the Junior C team and who was so tragically taken from was just a few short weeks ago. His good friend Colm Finnerty accepted County medals on behalf of Johnny and the Lynch family. May he rest in peace. Bingo continues at 8pm every Wednesday night at the GAA Sports Complex. Juvenile hurling training continues in Kiltormer every Sunday morning at 12 noon, all new players are most welcome. The junior camogie team had a great win over Craughwell in the league on Wed., they now play Oranmore/Maree in the next round on Saturday.
