Oughterard club notes
February 17, 2011Oughterard GAA Social will be held in the Oughterard Golf Club on Saturday, 5th March 2011 @7.30pm. Music will be by Aiden Kenny.
The presentation of the 2010 U21 westboard medals will take place on the night.

Connacht Club Forum
On Saturday 5th February three members of the club attended the Connacht GAA Club Forum in Castlebar; U-16 Manager Justin Keogh, Secretary Niall Walsh and Chairman of Club na nÓg and Club Coaching Officer Harry Walsh. The forum had a number of guest speakers and workshops covering topics such as Club fundraising, the players insurance scheme, the role of the coaching officer, recreational GAA games, use of IT in the GAA. CEO of Aer Aran and former Entrepreneur of the Year Padhraic O Céide was the guest speaker and gave an inspirational talk on the individual, the community and leadership in the GAA. All agreed it was a worthwhile Forum which inspired us all to improve our own club in our communities.
GAA Training
Training for Oughterard GAA has begun. The adult and U21 players are training Wednesday and Friday nights
* U6 start with 2 sessions in Oughterard Community Centre (Fri 18th and 25March) then move to GAA pitch Wednesdays 6.30pm
