In short Meath are in dissaray and Wicklow are going well. I think its set up for them and at 3/1 I think its the bet of the week.

They're certainly well capable of it.
They are also the form team of the 2 going into the game.

Im sure they'll be well supported aswell.

Unfortunatly however I can see Meath 2 biggest fans ruining this thread like they have the others.

Any Meath posters say that Meath will win, they'll be telling us were cocky as usual and not respecting Wicklow n bla bla bla.
If we say Wicklow might win it, we'll be accussed of trying to play Meath down just to take the pressure off and all that crac.

Cant see it at all...

Meath will come good.. they'll get by Wicklow with a kind of so, so something to build on against Kildare performance

They'll click on the day and beat Kildare

and then we'll beat them by 8 points in the Leinster Final.

No I don't think so. Meath to rally the groups and shock a few people this summer!

Meath should win with a few to spare.

Its not just how poor people are saying they are. I seen it for myself in Navan in the league. I gave Derry alot of credit that day, but I was shocked at the lack of fight in the Meath team, especially given the fact it was a relegation battle. Added to that Banty seems to like playing his players out of position which hasnt worked so far. Added to that the player discontent and lack of form and add to that again, the class in which Wicklow overcame a well organised Fermanagh team in the division 4 final, I think Wicklow are seriously overpriced. Despit Meath having Joe Sheridan, I really cant see him making an impact to win the game for Meath. Wicklow have good momentum, Meath need to find something from somewhere if they are going to win.

All good points and well thought out.

But I just cant see Meath losing to Wicklow. Wicklow are improving and I'd like to see them do well... but Meath will win.

Meath will ahve to ahve a Div 2 howler performance. If they put in their better performances from Div 2 - namely the Kildare performace

They'll beat Wicklow by 5+ points.

Always be wary of Meath!!!!

They could well have one big game in them this summer yet.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit.
I've said it on wicklow page that they are way over priced and if it wasn't against meath I'd be having a few quid on them.
Ill go to carlow in hope more so than anything.

Jinxie who are the 2 meath posters you refer to??

Any team with in house problems has to be a concern. If the players are not behind manager results will suffer, Wicklow are on a high having won a Div 4 title in Croke park they have 3 or 4 nice forwards that will do damage to Meath's back line.

Make's for the most interesting game of weekend.

Never mentioned Meath posters. They are two "fans" of Meath in recent times on here.....

There's no getting away from the fact that Meath are weak and are at their weakest where Wicklow are quiet strong, midfield. Wicklow break even here they have the forwards to win. The real big issue for them is the Meath name. If they show Meath any respect they'll be well beaten. If they go for the jugular and treat them with disdain and put Meath on the back foot then it's there for them. I think they'll do just that and another capitulation from Meath could be on the cards.

Meath can be found as short as 1/3 in the betting for this one with Wicklow at 3/1.

Plenty of people would like to believe Wicklow are favourites for this one so it looks like they might be in a position to make a nice few bob.

Meath are lurking in the long grass, written off by many and with little expectations. Just they way they love it.

They'll come out all guns blazing and will have a better summer than many would expect. If they can sort out the midfield mess, and get good ball into Sheridan on the edge of the square they'll cause plenty of problems to whoever they play.

Wicklow are coming off the back of a very good league campaign but realistically Meath should have too much for them and could well pull away late on and win by five or six plus.

Ah jinxie I see what you mean
But what ill love is the absolute fair handedness of this and objectivity that will be shown by a few other counties fans. Lol

I don't see why Meath posters should be condemned for supporting their team and believing they can beat Wicklow. If it was this time last year nobody would be tipping Wicklow to win, Meath haven't gone back that much in a year nor have Wicklow improved that much. So I think while Wicklow have a slight chance Meath have too much experience for them and will win with a bit in hand.
