What way do you think it will go? I'd fancy Tyrone after their performance today ... tyronelegend (Tyrone) - Posts: 270 - 22/01/2012 18:34:48 1097907 Link 0 |

It will depend on what teams both put out on the night tyrone hasnt been tested yet so we might turn up and give you a test. 93vintageyear (Derry) - Posts: 301 - 22/01/2012 19:35:55 1097965 Link 0 |

Makes for a fascinating final all the same, pleased for the young Red Hands, its all good experience and as the saying goes, every journey starts with a single step. brendtheredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 10897 - 22/01/2012 19:42:44 1097975 Link 0 |

Here's hoping that a callow Tyrone team gain all the experience they want and more besides next Saturday! Derry are looking solid and workmanlike so far without pulling up any trees and I don't think Tyrone beating a Fermanagh team who collapsed in the second half tells us an awful lot either. I would expect the final to be a good deal faster-paced and harder hitting than the two games we saw today. doiregael2 (Derry) - Posts: 337 - 22/01/2012 21:33:23 1098113 Link 0 |

Kind of sensing a little bit of denialon here by the posters from Donegal and Dublin. Perhaps both want to think Tyrone as a force are dead and buried when the reality is so very much different! cacsmckilly (Tyrone) - Posts: 1294 - 23/01/2012 09:58:54 1098194 Link 0 |

If it is as good a game as last years final then it will be worth the waiting for. Best thing to come out of it for both teams is more competitive action prior to the league campaign. kingpuck71 (Derry) - Posts: 691 - 23/01/2012 11:21:28 1098254 Link 0 |

i'd say there's a fair chance things will get very hot and heavy as they usually do in tyrone derry games..of course the tv cameras will be there, and the nation will be wringing it's hands as usual about northern football...i do know one thing it will be full blooded, and nothing left on the pitch from both sets of players..the only thing is both teams will be looking at suspensions for key players in the aftermatch after the ballyhoo again about northern football mayotyroneman (Tyrone) - Posts: 1821 - 23/01/2012 11:37:11 1098276 Link 0 |

Based on yesterdays performances you would have to go for Derry, they put in a serious workrate for 70 minutes against Down and should have won by more. It will be a different Tyrone team for the final, Harte will return to the tried and tested players like Penrose, O'Neill, McMahon - a lot of the young guns will make way for that. Are there rumours going around that Derry are now playing Donegal type football? If ye can't beat em, join em type of thing. I hope this is not true because we dont need another Donegal, please no! cacsmckilly (Tyrone) - Posts: 1294 - 23/01/2012 15:03:19 1098516 Link 0 |

cacsmckilly - i would honestly say its more like the Tyrone style. Brennan still wants to put up high scores, just conceed a bit less in the process I feel! Derry_ledd (Derry) - Posts: 2093 - 23/01/2012 15:12:40 1098528 Link 0 |
